O.Ya. Usikov Institute for Radiophysics and Electronics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (IRE NASU) is a well-known leader in studying radio wave propagation, including radio wave propagation over the vast water surfaces. Due to systematic long standing investigations we have obtained a great volume of experimental data on UHF wave propagation path parameters for the most World Ocean regions with intensive shipping. Database of radio wave attenuation factor distance dependences for ranges in 20÷600 km was based on the above mentioned data. The database can be interesting for research and development centers involved in development and exploitation of navigational, radar and another radio engineering systems.

 Besides we have developed and checked experimentally the method of diagnosis and forecast of radio wave propagation conditions over sea surface, which allows database using for unstudied regions of the World Ocean.

The database allows solving the following problems:

 - to determine parameters of radar, navigational and another radio engineering systems developed to provide necessary coverage range in the World Ocean regions in question;

 - to make coverage range diagnosis and forecast for existing and exploited radar, navigational and another radio engineering systems in the World Ocean regions in question, which improve shipping safety;

 - to conduct continual monitoring of UHF wave propagation conditions in various regions of the World Ocean with efficient notifying those interested in it.

 We are ready to provide available information on commercial conditions, as well as to assist in data utilization and putting into practice.
