Abstract
The experimental results on the investigation of transition radiation excited by electron bunches scattered on the periodic inhomogeneities in the form of a wire periodic structure are presented. The modulator (generator of electron bunches) developed on the base of a resonant 8 mm band backward-wave tube is described. It is shown that the measured transition radiation pattern is in good agreement with theoretical values.
