Abstract
Characteristics of the sparse antenna array with the binominal amplitude distribution is considered. It is shown that the sparse antenna arrays with the low number of radiators (no more than 8) have a moderate superdirectivity. The binominal amplitude field distribution allows the elimination of the near side lobes.
KEY WORDS: antenna arrays, directivity, main lobe, side lobe
