Abstract
It is performed an analytic review of photon digital-to-analog converters (DAC), in which it is applied encoding of intensities of each of the digital signal digits by weight coefficients along with summation of intensities of all bits. It is also performed autocorrelation with matched filters and the “and” bitwise operation with the remembered reference pulse sequences. The results of experimental investigation of the considered photon DAC show the prospects for their practical application in the devices for recognition and forming of signals within the fiber optic telecommunication systems.

KEY WORDS:optical digital signal, photon digital-to-analog converter, correlation function, multilevel recognition, pulse sequence
