Abstract
The oscillation of a point source under the conditions of a sharp time leap of plasma density is investigated using the integral equations method. The cases of operation of the source both in an infinite medium and in a half-space are considered. Origination of the surface wave (plasmon polariton) is possible in the latter case.
KEY WORDS:surface wave, nonstationary plasma, the Volterra integral equations, planar interface
