Abstract
An amplitude method is suggested for estimating target elevation from the amplitude ratio of pulses measured in adjacent beams of the partial antenna pattern. The method is suitable for application in conjunction with elevation angle measurements based on the azimuthal width of echo pulse burst reflected from the target. A functional diagram of the specialized processor to implement the suggested method has been developed.
