Abstract
The software and hardware complex for studying of clouds and precipitation is described. The complex includes a two-frequency radar, an optical-television device for visual observation of the objects under investigation, calibration device to provide for absolute measurements of radar reflectivity in the dynamic range up to 40 dB, control unit for the antenna positioning and interface unit for coupling of the radar with a personal computer. The developed software permits to control the radar and perform measurements of altitude profile of spectral-correlation parameters for studying of turbulence characteristics of meteorological objects.
KEY WORDS:meteorological objects, radar, turbulence, spectral-correlation processing
