Abstract
The problem of a cylindrical microstrip antenna excitation by a coaxial line (rod) is considered. The coaxial line is modeled by a finite-length filament of electric current. The problem is solved by the method of moments in the spectral domain using piece-wise specified functions. Such an approach allows the class of possible problems to be essentially expanded, specifically, it makes possible to analyze antennas with radiators of arbitrary geometries. The frequency dependence of the return loss amount is considered for the antenna with an E-shaped radiator.
KEY WORDS:cylindrical microstrip antenna, arbitrary geometry radiator method of moments, input impedance
