Abstract
Mathematical model of the Ã-shaped combined radiator have been obtained in the given current approximation. Ã-shaped vibrator is dipped in the narrow slot being cut in the infinite perfectly conducting plane. Amplitude-and-phase characteristics and polarization of radiated field of vibrator are studied in far-zone. It is shown that Ã-shaped radiator can be used as a source of elliptically polarized radiation with a high ellipticity factor in a wide region of radiation angles in the case when horizontal part of the vibrator is placed parallel with a slot.

KEY WORDS:  amplitude-and-phase characteristics polarization, dipole, Ã-shaped radiator, ellipticity factor
