Abstract
The multifrequency signals formation is considered being realized in cases of the excitation in resonant system of the investigated oscillator of the higher modes forming several variations (“spots”) of a field along a direction of the electron beam propagation. The electron beam moving through such a chain of field spots (“the coupled resonators chain”) is accompanied by excitation of a set of self-modulation modes and, accordingly, by transition into the multi-frequency mode. The output signal spectrum could be controlled effectively by means of the anode voltage variation.
