Abstract
The paper treats measured frequency spectra of amplitude variations of microwave (3 cm) signals from a source located at the geostationary satellite Hot Bird. The spectra were obtained under various tropospheric conditions. The frequency spectrum has been analyzed theoretically in dependence on parameters of the spatial spectrum of inhomogeneities, magnitude and range distribution of their transfer velocity, and structure function of the refractive index of the troposphere. The possibility is discussed the troposphere monitoring with the use of frequency spectra of radio signals from satellites.
