Research on:
-
development of O - and M - type electron-vacuum electromagnetic radiation sources, including the relativistic devices, operating at frequencies between several tens and thou-sands of gigahertz with diverse mechanisms for converting the energy of spatially devel-oped electron flows in complex electrodynamics structures,
-
elaboration of techniques to generate high-power pulsed electromagnetic signals over RF and microwave ranges through the use of explosion energy; developing the means of measuring the characteristics of these signals; investigating the radiative properties of plasma-like formations excited by explosive-magnetic oscillators,
-
experimental investigation into the effects of interaction between the non-relativistic elec-tron beams and surface waves of solid-state plasma; designing and developing the appro-priate devices around these effects,
-
study of mechanism for producing electromagnetic signals over a wide wavelength range using the phenomena brought about by weak electrolytes under the action of electric dis-charges,
-
working out the principles and means of shaping intensive electron beams in vacuum mi-crowave electron devices and in the electron beam-aided material processing; developing cathode and electron-optic systems for millimeter- and sub-millimeter-wave devices.
