Research on:
-
models of the electromagnetic wave scattering by various
natural media: soils, sea and fresh-water ice, icebergs, shelf glaciers,
vegetation, subsurface structures,
-
theory of the wave scattering by rough surfaces.
Interpretations of the data obtained in sensing of natural environments
based on the theoretical models,
-
ground-based monitoring of the local and global
thunderstorm activity by using the low-frequency radiation of the
lightning strokes; problem of global warming; inhomogeneities of the
lower ionosphere; electromagnetic earthquake precursors,
-
scattering of the radio waves and radio holography;
models of lightning strokes as sources of natural electromagnetic
radiation; UHF radio wave propagation over an interface; elaboration of
the models and computational algorithms for the analysis of UHF fields
in the randomly inhomogeneous media,
-
atmospheric boundary layer; direct and remote techniques
and tools for evaluating the radio-meteorological parameters of this
layer,
-
radio-wave propagation in the 0.5 to 10 GHz range in
strongly absorbing media for biomedical applications,
-

parameters such as a temperature distribution,
-
the hyperthermia treatment of biomedical tissues.
