SCATTERING OF ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES BY PREFRACTAL STRIPS SYSTEM

Koshovy G. I.

141-147

The problem of scattering of the E-polarized electromagnetic wave by systems of cylindrical strips is considered. The cross-section of the system is an pre-fractal of the Cantor set. The problem is reduced to a system of singular integral equations (SIE) of the first kind with respect to surface currents' density. The system of the SIE is convenient both for application of direct numerical method (mechanical quadratures) and for its transformation to a second kind's integral equations by the Vekua-Carleman's method of regularization. Except for common dynamic model of the problem, the quasistatic model (it supposes a simple explicit solution) is presented. The comparison of numerical results of calculations by the indicated methods for the models is carried out.

Rudiakova A. N., Lipinskii A. Y., Danilov V. V.

148-155

Successful design of digital acoustooptic devices includes the quite complex step of physical phenomena modeling. This phenomenon is interaction between optical and acoustic waves within the acoustooptic media, and its investigation requires the using of numerical methods. Obtained angle relations between the diffraction maximums of zero and first orders are agreeing with the physical model of diffraction.

A. A. Bulgakov, Y. A. Olkhovskiy, O. V. Shramkova

163-167

In this work, we consider three-wave interaction in dielectric layered-periodic structure. We investigate an infinite dielectric layered-periodic structure. One of the layers forming a period is assumed to have nonlinear polarization. The nonlinear dielectric is assumed to have  anisotropy and its optical axis is directed along the axis of periodicity. The synchronism conditions are analyzed. The anisotropy of this symmetry class leads to the fact that the TM polarization waves are connected with the TE waves. The TE waves are connected with the TM waves. It is considered the resonances that are specific to a periodic medium. It is demonstrated the resonances significantly increase are efficiency of nonlinear interaction.

V. B. Razskazovskyy, Yu. F. Logvinov

168-176

The peculiarities of the microwave propagation factor over disturbed sea surface have been investigated by numerical method using the multiple knife-edge diffraction model. The case of low grazing angles and small height of the receiver over the surface has been considered. It has shown that such a model allows explaining experimentally observed peculiarities of the field at the receiver height compared with that of the sea waves, in particular, essentially higher values of the propagation factor than the ones predicted through Kirchhoff approximation.

The requirements to the depth of forming of directional pattern null in the illuminator direction are determined. COMPETITION OF SELF-ORGANIZED ROTATING SPIRAL AUTOWAVES IN NONEQUILIBRIUM DISSIPATIVE SYSTEM WITH THREE-LEVEL ACTIVE CENTERS

D. N. Makovetskii

204-208

Competition of self-organized rotating spiral autowaves (RSA) is computationally studied in a nonequilibrium dissipative system possessing excitability and the two-channel diffusion of excitations. Such the system consists of locally interacting three-level active centers (AC) having properties close to ones for AC in the phaser (microwave phonon laser). Dynamical stabilization and coexistence of RSA with different topological charges were observed under conditions of their weak competition. A phenomenon of self-induced reversing of the sign of topological charge was revealed for the case of strongly competing RSA; the mechanism of this nonlinear phenomenon is found. Perspectives of investigations of RSA in nonequilibrium dissipative systems with excitable three-level AC are discussed.

V. M. Fitio, H. P. Laba, Ya. V. Bobitski

223-229

Using the coupled wave method an absorption of electromagnetic waves in a grating-metallic substrate system has been analyzed, at that a grating can be both dielectric and metallic. It is proved that at certain wavelength resonance of plasmons can be achieved. That results in completed absorption of electromagnetic wave by system. For comparison the research of plasmons resonance excited by a prism into thin silver film has been carried out. It is ascertained that here on certain conditions completed absorption can be attained, too, at that within resonance range a strong dependence on incidence angle at metallic film has been observed. It is shown that for both methods of plasmons excitement whithin resonance range the identical dependences of reflectance on refractive index of medium, which contacts directly with gratings and thin metallic film, has been observed, at that the refractive index change by 0,001 leads to the reflection coefficient change from zero to 0,8.

The ð- and n-type layers by thickness 1,5 μm with boron and phosphorus concentration ~ 1020 cm-3 were prepared according to technology used in serial production of Ukrainian monocrystalline Si-SC. Photocurrent density JP, output and diode parameters of SC were determined from the loading illuminated current-voltage characteristics measured at 25îÑ and in conditions of extra-atmospheric solar radiation (ÀÌ0 regime – air mass equals zero). The found out value JP = 48,6 mÀ/cm2 is the record for Ukrainian monocrystalline Si-SC that causes the expediency of serial Si-SC development with p-i-n structure. The influence of weakly concentrated radiation on the efficiency of such type SC was investigated. The proposals on improvement of Si-SC design with p-i-n structure ensuring their efficiency increasing up to 20% were grounded.

A low level of the phase fluctuations of the output signal is achieved by means of high order multiplier and up-converter based on IMPATT diodes. For exclusion of the influence of signal fluctuations on the accuracy of the phase measuring in the interferometer there used the quadrature processing on the intermediate frequency and the amplifiers with AGC circuits. The phase drift of the output signal does not exceed +/- 0,50 and a dynamic range for receiving signal is about 40 dB.
