Anatoly Kyrylenko (Kirilenko
in publications) is the Head of department since 1982, when our department was
found. He received Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees in radio physics in 1970 and 1980,
respectively, from the Kharkov University and the Professor Title in Radio
Physics Rank in 1989. He has worked for IRE NASU since 1969. His research
interests include analytical and numerical techniques for electromagnetic
simulation, resonant phenomena in waveguides and gratings, general and
problem-oriented software for microwave CAD. He is a co-author of three books,
has published 150 papers and ten patents. A. Kyrylenko is a Senior Member of
IEEE. In 1989 he became a Winner of the State Prize of Ukraine in the Science
and Technology.
Leonid Rud’
is the leader scientist of the department. He received his Ph.D. and D.Sc.
degrees in radio physics in 1976 and 1990, respectively from the Kharkov
University. He has worked for IRE NASU since 1971. His research interests are
mathematical modeling and investigation of the wave scattering by waveguide
discontinuities, spectral theory of open waveguide resonators, software for
design and analysis of frequency-selective devices. He is a co-author of one
book and has published more than 70 journal papers and three patents. L. Rud’
is a Member of IEEE. In 1989 he became a Winner of the State Prize of Ukraine
in Science and Technology.
Vladimir Tkachenko is
the senior scientist. He received the Ph.D. degree in radio physics in 1986
from the Kharkov University. From 1973 till 1981 he was with the Low
Temperature Physics Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
where he worked on the theory of superconductive antennas. Since 1981 he has
been with IRE NASU. His research interests are numerical algorithms and
software for the design of microwave devices and large-scale modeling systems
for the waveguide electromagnetics. In 1991 one of such systems, SES-04, was
nominated in 1991 as the best software in microwave electronics in the former
Soviet Union. He has published more than 40 journal papers and four patents.
Alexander Nosich is the
leader scientist. He received his Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees in radio physics in
1979 and 1990, respectively from the Kharkov University. Since 1978, he has
been a Member of the Research Staff of IRE NASU. From 1992 to 1998, he held
short-term research fellowships and visiting professorships in Bilkent
University, Ankara, Turkey, Kumamoto University, Japan, Gifu University, Japan,
Chuo University, Tokyo, Japan, University of Rennes 1, France, and Torino
Polytechnic University, Italy. His research interests include free-space and
open-waveguide scattering, complex-mode behavior, radar cross-section analysis,
and antenna simulation. He is a co-author of one book and has published more
than 60 journal papers and three patents. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
Tatyana Vasilyeva is the
senior scientist. She graduated from the Physics Department of Kharkov
University in 1973 and received the Ph.D degree from Rostov University, Russia,
in 1990. From 1976 to 1980 she was with Antenna Laboratory of Kharkov Military
University and from 1980 she has been with IRE NASU. From 1995 to 1999, she
held research fellowship in the Electrical Engineering Department of the
University of Saskatchewan, Canada and from 2000 she are with Unique Broadband
Systems (Canada). Her research interests include microwave antennas and passive
devices, computational electromagnetics and microwave CAE of filters, diplexers
and others. She is an author of 20 journal papers.
